Bonjour!!
So I've been in France for 2 weeks! My area is a beautiful place called Orlèans and it's awesome! So far everyone here has been nice! No one's spit on me or anything so I'll take that as a plus!
So I've taught a few lessons and I'm really excited about one of our Amis (friends/investigators) named Alodie! Shes this sweet lady who has cancer but she has such a strong testimony of the book of mormon and she is so nice! We've taught her twice and shes doing awesome, she speaks slightly slower than most French people so occasionally I can understand but not all the time. But she told me my French is getting better! So yesterday we set up a temple visit for the end of August so that she can go to the visitors center and feel the spirit! She has a lot of struggle because her husband is against us coming and she's sick so I'm praying she is able to go because I know it would be so good for her! So she's really been a huge blessing in my life here!
My companion is awesome! Her name is Sœur Fears and she's an amazing amazing cook!! And she's such a good missionary! She's on her last transfer so I'll be getting a new trainer after her which is sad but I'm lucky I get her for as long as I do!!
This week we went to paris 3 times for interviews, zone conference, and new missionary conference! It was a lot of travel because Paris is an hour and 15 minute train ride from me, not counting the metro rides to the meeting house! But it was fun and I got to see a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while! There are so many people from Kaysville on this mission!
Anyways, for zone conference Brad Wilcox came and talked to us and he talked about the importance of the gathering of Israel on this side and the other side of the veil. And it was super cool and he said "don't let the world change you when you were born fo change the world" and I loved that so I thought I'd share!!
So to some it all up I love France and the people and especially the food!!! And I love being a missionary even though it's hard sometimes! But I Know the lord blesses his children, especially during their trials and sometimes our trials are blessings in disguise! I have definitely seen that as I've been here. I know that this is an amazing work and I know this gospel is true and that through it we can overcome all our adversities!! I love you all so much and hope you have an amazing week!!
Love, Sœur Uboldi
